17/10/09 - TABLE SALE & POPPY APPEAL RAFFLE
Our October Table Sale, as with previous years was our focus for a raffle to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The table sale was very well attended and the SARA stall also sold books in aid of the SARA Youth Recognition Awards. Total funds raised from the Raffle were £288! (Click for More)

08/10/09 - SARA Youth Recognition Awards
We received one application for ahead of our 31st September closing date for the SARA Youth Recognition Awards. The application was from a local youngster who SARA has previously helped with her fundraising to compete at international level in trampolining.

Sophie Singleton will shortly be travelling to Russia to compete for Great Britain. The Youth Recognition Awards panel were delighted to be able to award the maximum amount of £200 towards Sophie's fundraising. (Click for More)

Neighbourhood Watch schemes are being set up in the area with the help of Merseyside Police.  Currently, there are schemes running around SARA Hall and also down Mersey Road.  For details of how to join or set one up, please contact SARA for details.

In March 2008, SARA launched a new grant making arm of the association.  The Youth Recognition awards offer grants of up to £200 for specific projects / activities for individuals and groups under the age of 18.  Applications are now being accepted.  For further details click below.  Closing Date for the next round is 31st January 2010.
