Sudley Area Residents' Association was established in 1977 and registered as a charity in 1979.  The Association is a focus group for a large area of Aigburth in South Liverpool and operates from SARA Hall.

SARA Hall is an established multi-purpose venue offering a variety of weekly sessions, it is also a centre for adult education classes offered by The Workers' Educational Association and independent tutors.

The Association hosts a number of fundraising events and social functions throughout the year.

Neighbourhood Watch schemes are being set up in the area with the help of Merseyside Police.  Currently, there are schemes running around SARA Hall and also down Mersey Road.  For details of how to join or set one up, please contact SARA for details.

Between March 2008 and March 2010, SARA offered grants of up to £200 for specific youth projects / activities to benefit individuals and groups under the age of 18.

The awards have now been replaced with the SARA Charity of the Year.
