Our Commitment to Political Neutrality
As a long-standing community organisation, we are and always have been politically impartial. We do not support or endorse any political parties or candidates and we are not involved in election campaigning.
We work constructively with local councillors and MPs of all parties to help ensure our area is properly maintained and that residents’ concerns are heard.
Our focus is always on supporting the community, protecting our local spaces, and working positively for everyone in the area — regardless of political views.
ABOUT
About SARA
Sudley Area Residents' Association was established in 1977 and registered as a charity in 1979. The Association is a focus group for a large area of Aigburth in South Liverpool and operates from SARA Hall. The Association changed its legal status to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in July 2020.
SARA Charity of the Year
Since 2004-05, SARA has supported a variety of charities (both local and national) as well as providing grants for youth projects in the Sudley Area. For 2019-20, SARA's charity of the year was Sunflowers, a Liverpool charity that supports people living with cancer. We have suspended our Charity of the Year initiative during the pandemic.
